What’s new
Every change, newest first.
Version 1.5 November 7, 2026
- A calmer, cleaner look. Quieter colors, thinner lines and new type, so the conversation is the only thing on the screen.
- What people say reads like speech. Their lines are set in a book face; the app around them stays out of the way.
Version 1.4 November 7, 2026
- Sounds. A chime when your score lands, a brighter one at 90 and up, and small sounds as typed lines come and go and as the other person warms up or cools off. Never during a rep out loud. Turn them off in the menu.
- Your score lands with a pop, and a 90 glows.
- Easier to start inside Instagram and TikTok. Start talking right there; if the app blocks the mic, the rep switches to typing by itself.
- A clear next step after your first rep.
Version 1.3 November 7, 2026
- A new look, built like a chat app. One question and one box: type the conversation you’re putting off or say it with the mic, or tap a suggestion.
- Everything in one menu. All conversations, coaches, getting your thoughts in order, free guides, your past reps with their best scores, and your account sit in a sidebar on a computer and a menu on your phone.
- Made for computers too. On a bigger screen, your goal stays next to the conversation during a rep, and your feedback sits beside what’s next.
- Every try counts. Run the same conversation again and the rep shows which try it is and your best score so far. Your score screen tells you when you hit 90.
- From the videos. Every conversation Avery takes on in his videos stays listed with his score, so you can try to beat it.
- Challenge a friend. Send a conversation with your score from the score screen. The link shows that conversation’s picture in a text or DM.
Version 1.2 November 4, 2026
- Read the room. During a rep, a meter shows how the other person is taking it, from closed to ready to say yes, and what you did that moved them.
- Take it back. Said something that cooled them off? Take the line back and say it differently, right then. Your feedback shows both versions and which one landed. Free gets 1 a rep; Plus gets as many as you want.
Version 1.1 November 4, 2026
- Free guides for every conversation. Your first line, what they’ll probably say, what to say back, and the two things that trip people up. Then practice it.
- Watch yourself level up. After each rep, the points fill your level bar, and the score to beat shows on the Run it again button.
- Sign in with one tap. The code email has a Sign me in button. The code still works too.
- Tell us what’s wrong. Help, in the footer, goes straight to the people who build Say It First.
- Easier on the eyes at night. Dark mode colors, fixed so every screen is easy to read.
Version 1.0 November 3, 2026
- 8 new conversations: ask for time off, tell your boss you’re behind, quote your freelance rate, get your deposit back, get your roommate to pay their share, say no when family asks for money, send food back, and speak up at the doctor.
- Accounts, if you want one. Sign in with your email and a 6-digit code. No password. Your reps still stay on your phone.
- Reminders by email. A nudge when it’s time to run a conversation back, and the day before your real one. Turn them off anytime.
- Sharper people to practice with. Every conversation’s other person now has their own goals, limits and reasons to say yes, so they push back like the real one would.
- Better coaching. The coach now points to the moment the conversation turned, the opening you missed, and what the other person was thinking.
Version 0.9 November 3, 2026
- Your coach remembers you. Every rep is saved on your phone, and your coach can say “last time you...” when it matters.
- What we noticed. Your reps page spots the habits that keep showing up, the ones you’ve dropped, and the move to work on next.
- Rematches. A conversation you scored under 75 comes back the next day, then a few days later, then a week later.
- The real one. Tell us when the real conversation is. We’ll remind you to practice, then ask how it went.
- Type anything. The box at the bottom of the home page takes the conversation you’re dreading and sets up the rep with the right coach. Or ask a coach a question first.
- Your playbook. The lines that worked for you, saved in one place.
- Your data, your call. Stop saving what you say, download everything, or delete it, all from Your reps.
Version 0.8 November 3, 2026
- Eight specialist coaches, each with their own playbook and voice, from Max the Negotiator to June for the talks at home.
- Make it yours. Add the real names and numbers, and the other person plays your actual situation.
- Ask your coach. Up to five follow-up questions after every rep.
- Hear yourself. Play back how you sounded, right on your phone.
- Badges, levels and streaks, plus a share card and challenge links to send a friend your score.
Version 0.7 November 2, 2026
